Treto began with a practical question: how much of the operating work around investment judgment can software maintain for a lean venture team?
Origin
The product started as an internal fund system.
Before starting Treto, founder Cesar Figueredo worked as a venture investment analyst across sourcing, pipeline management, diligence, portfolio monitoring and LP reporting.
The information behind that work lived across inboxes, spreadsheets, documents and conversations. He built an internal system for the fund to connect those workflows and keep the operating picture current.
Treto takes that experience forward as software for lean venture teams. The product is being built around the work investment teams already perform and the context each process creates.
